Looks good.  And don't beat yourself up over the pictures that didn't turn out.  Learn from it.
Today I shot a wedding and it was the brightest day in all of history, I swear.  And of course there was splotchy shade, the worst kind.  It was tough.  I struggled.  I haven't looked at the images yet. But weddings are like that, you can't control the circumstances and in the beginning you just have to do your best at what is thrown at you and eventually you will get more comfortable.

Thanks Susie. It was a recipe for challenge like you mentioned.

The ceremony was in the darkest most poorly lit room known to man with a window for a back drop. And the reception was outdoors on a patio  in splotchy shade under redwoods. The patio was red, the fence trim was purple and the bark on the trees was red. It was an exposure nightmare as well.

But, I guess that one is behind me, maybe the next one will seem easy.  Big Grin

My favorite.

The dressing room had conditions I am used to dealing with.   Tongue

Oh why do dark churches have bright windows at the front?  It does make for a huge challenge.

Here in Utah we don't have church weddings like that, hardly ever.  So it's not a huge problem, but that's not to say I don't deal with different things.

The reception sounds difficult too, so yes, your next wedding will seem like cake hopefully.  That or you will have different problems.

Eventually I'll start another thread and show you some of my struggles on yesterdays wedding and talk about how I dealt with them, mainly so we can all debate over what the best way would have been.  Because, as you know, there is more than one way to skin a cat.

I love that idea Susie!

OH you didn't do bad at all.  It looks a little soft, could be post processing, but I think it looks pretty good.

Thank you.
I made it intentionally soft to hide my mistakes a bit. Luckily it works with the theme this time.

Don't be too hard on yourself. We all have to start somewhere. ((hugs))

Susie, that's a fabulous idea! I love it when we can all learn together!

Here's a crop from the photo above. Hope you don't mind me messing with it. Smiley

I love the crop (although I would straighten it a bit), however it might end up too small to print very big and it will show off more of the softness.  I do like the processing.
