Its a good day when a model comes over with a pile of clothes to spend the day practicing. She wanted more "looks" and to work on her posing I played with lights.

That looks like time spent well playing with your lights.

The second is by far my favourite. I really like her expression and the lighting. Good job.

Bob,

A hair light would have allowed the black hat to be seperate from the black background, and a kicker would have seperated her black dress from the black background. I don't own a black background.

Thanks! good idea about the kicker, should have thought of it. The hat I actually turned the hair light off to make it blend into the background because of two things. One: We were trying for an almost "floating head" type shot and Two: that stupid had, although a small was so big on her it looked really bad.
