Tintype exhibit in Houston

A few weeks ago we went down to the Houston Museum of Natural Science for one of the exhibits they just opened.  Turns out they had one we hadn't seen advertised that was a collection of tintypes taken of cowboys around Texas.  Robb Kendrick drove around with a darkroom trailer in tow taking photos on tintype and developing them the way it was done in the 1800s.

I spent about 20 minutes looking at all of the shots thinking they were remarkably well preserved.  They were much less faded than any other tintypes I've seen.  It wasn't until I read the notes that went along with them that I realized they were taken fairly recently.
