This is part of the You Suck at Photoshop series of videos on Youtube. It's a 4.5 minute video with about 1 minute of good stuff in the middle surrounded by a little humor.
It's a good technique to have in your toolbox.

Won't work in Elements either btw.
Great vid! I am more amazed by the cool mushroom cloud thing... I need to learn how to do that... for wedding photos, LOL.
