Virtual return to Rocky Falls

Went back to the file of a previously shot waterfall and tried my hand at doing an HDR of it. The first photo is from earlier this year, and the second one is the HDR. I'm not sure which one I prefer better. I kind of like the depth of shadows in the original. How about you?

Nope, the depth is in #2 excellent work, keep it up.

I'm with Mike.  I can see the allure of the deep shadows in the first one, but I think the second has the "pop" that it needed for sure.  Print it big!

Thanks. I'm having a lot of fun with this "new toy," learning what kinds of photos lend themselves to good HDRs and what ones don't. Smiley

More tonal range and depth in #2. I like it a lot more.

Sarcasm, frustrating the clueless since 3000 b.c.

Landscapes make great HDR specimens.
