Playing around with shooting something noir this week for a short series. Does this fit the theme?

see what it looks like cropped really tight from the top. I'm thinking from the existing bottom right corner to just above the bottom of her skirt. The heart is really cool but its too small.

it could fit the theme, as one of several.

I like the black and white conversion, definitely one of those images that is great in black and white so much more so than color.

The hand not holding the gun is just hanging there, which would be fine but it's in front of her a little awkwardly. I would try something a different with it next time.

I like the crop.

Variations on the theme.

Why? Not to be a smart a$$, just wondering why you think they are successful?

good question, I should have expounded.
The first image you showed was fine, just not as sexy or interesting as I thought it had potential for. Her pose was weak because the one arm was just hanging there and her curves were obstructed. It did have a good theme, crop and b&w conversion going for it.

The second one is more interesting because her arm/hand is more engaged in the pose, it isn't just there.
The last one is very dynamic. The angle, the bend in her leg, and the placement of the gun are great. I think the story is stronger too, it looks like she may be hiding the gun behind her back, but in a casual way, she doesn't look tense or threatened. It's interesting.
I think the hint of looking up her skirt and is that skin we are seeing above the waist of her skirt? It ups the sexy factor. This is an image I would put in my portfolio on my boudoir site for sure.

3rd one's my favorite as well, for the same reasons Susie stated.

the second one, 1156 is a lot closer to the crop I described, except her position is better.

the third one 1133, for the same reasons ROCKS! ANY time you can show sexy and dangerous in the same frame, you win.

If the photo is sexy, its good. If the photo is sexy and dangerous, or sexy and scary, or sexy and innocent, chances are you have a "winner"  !!

It gets creepier; the guy is the girls grandfather.  Big Grin He doesn't know about her shots yet.
