Lucky for us, we were able to get out before this took over.

So, we ended up going to another waterfall and did a bit of this...

It's not a photoshop play, it's mist accumulated on the C.P Filter, which gave that dream look. I liked the effect.   Big Grin

Holy Water, Batman (ha ha, couldn't help it), but that's a lot of water!  Good thing you weren't in there when that happened!

I like the misty one too, pretty, great for the subject matter Smiley

Holy Water, I think it's Hell Water.  Big Grin

I can't get that vivid wall of water crashing over top. The spot we were at rest, eventually flooded over. We did get out in time.
If we were at the middle, we would be dead. That's another vivid imagination that is still playing in my mind. Slowly, very slowly easing off.

Growing up in the desert, I've seen flash floods and they look a lot like that! Yikes!

Love the pregnancy shot. It's so refreshing to see a pregnancy shoot that's not in a studio with that weird thing wrapped around the breasts and lower area. Tongue Nicely done!

Ditto on the misty shot, that's great one.

I spent a lot of time in the Texas hill country growing up and we had a few flash flood there so I know what you talking about. We were trapped on our place for almost a week there behind the Dry Frio river once because of flooding. The water normally runs under the rocks and we would drive over them to get to our place, but it rained a bit on us and flooded the next county up river one night. We were going to visit one of our neighbors the next day and when we got to the river it was about ten feet deep with medium sized trees floating over where we normally drove.

Here's a lady and her dog across from the falls.

Mike, that is scary about the flood!  I'm glad you all made it out of there all right.  I love the first image.  One of the best waterfall images I've ever seen that I can remember.  The model in the bikini; I love the lighting on her face, but would have liked to see her head tipped back a littl further looking more upward and allowing her hair to fall a little more behind her shoulders.  I also like the maternity shot and I agree that it's nice to see something without the weird wrapped material around an otherwise naked woman.  The misty look is also appropriate for the image and a very nice touch, way to see it for what it is and not thinking... 'wow, i really need to clean my lens'.

Bob, I heard the sound of stampeding cattle, which at first, I thought was just the thunder rumble, the rumble didn't stop, that's when I realized that the waterfall was about to blow, we did have time to get out, because we were away and at the edge, we did have to climb out, the area we stood eventually flooded over.

Travis, thanks for the heads up, I'll remember that one for another shoot.

Maternity, it's exactly what I wanted to hear, "That's Different"   Big Grin

It's all so flat here in New Jersey . . . we don't have anything like this to work with . . .

Nice work Mike!
