web gallery

I need some help.  I am making a simple little website for my mother in law.  She makes hats.
Anyway, the issue is that I need some sort of web gallery she can easily update, she wants to be able to change the hat pictures often.  It needs to be user friendly (i.e. no html).  She is completely un-savvy with computers.  I want something where she can just click and drag new pictures in and take old pictures out.
Any suggestions?

Does she need to take credit cards/orders via the page, or will there just be a contact number/email?

Does she already have a host or will she need that, too?

If all she wants is a web gallery, why not use photobucket, imageshack or pbase.com?

If she does need to take orders, ProofBuddy would be perfect. Once it's set up, all she needs to do is go into the admin program and upload new pictures.

SmugMug might work.

Or work with a web designer who can admin the site for her. Might cost a little more, but may be worth it to just send the admin the pictures and let them do it.

Unfortunately I will be the admin and my cost is nothing.  I don't have time to update this for her.  I can design a website easily, I just wanted to get something basic up and have her be able to manage the pictures.

Marian - to answer your questions.  She will not be taking online orders.  She has a little shop kinda thing at a historical park.  She just wants her contact info and pictures online.  She is also interested in music and "neat effects" on her page which I am in the process of talking her out of.

What about something like Wordpress.com?  She could find a theme she likes and post new images as they come up.

That's not a bad idea... could I integrate that into her website?  She already purchased the domain name and hosting.

I just assumed you were starting from scratch Cheesy Grin

Rather than Wordpress.com go to Wordpress.org and you can download it and install to her hosting.  Her host may make it even easier if they have Fantastico installed.  Then it's just a one-click install.  If not I wrote a tutorial for version 2.2 for another site of mine that goes through the steps.  Version 2.5.1 is the current version but the steps are similar.

ok, I will look at it.  Although I think she wants something more classic gallery looking...
I am starting from scratch, sorta, all she has is the domain and hosting purchased, nothing else.

I really hate this sorta thing....
