Website Performance Comparisons

I am trying to figure out if my website is performing at a relatively decent level.  Mainly, I want to know if I am getting an acceptable level of traffic.  I want to know if my site just sucks for salesmanship/marketing, or if it's attracting the wrong type of clients for my business, or if I'm simply not getting enough visits to battle the averages.  I don't really have any idea how many visits any of my competition gets, or how many visits I should expect per contact.  I am asking any of you that are willing to share your statistics as best you can to help me identify what I am doing right, what I am doing wrong, what I can do to get better, and what I can do to get more business.

To start with, I want to tell you all that my site is performing (easily) 3 times better than it did last year.  2007 was horrible for me, and so far I'm doing great compared to my own stats from a year ago.  As many of you may know, I redid my site in Feb this year, and everything has been greatly improved.  I get way more search engine visits and I get more visits from directories and such as well.  Based on my own past performance, I am doing much better.  It is still not good enough, so I am looking again at how to strengthen my business and take it to the next level.

My Overview of my Statistics on Google Analytics (Mar2-Jun1):

Visits:  163
Pageviews:  666
Pages/Visit:  4.09
Bounce Rate:  19.63%
Avg Time on Site:  1:40
New Visits:  89.57%

Any thoughts are appreciated.  Information to make good comparisons would be more what I would like to have; but I understand not everyone feels comfortable sharing this in public, so I understand if you don't.

Here's my Analytics dashboard.  My pageviews and bounce rate are higher because I have quite a few articles that people come to through search engines and are not in my area.  I also moved to new, faster, server a few months ago.  But I stupidly parked multiple domain names without redirecting them correctly so I'm fairly sure that hurt my traffic. 

One of my summer projects is to redo my website from scratch with the intent of getting more traffic.  We'll see how it works out...
