What a shame.

We had a problem with a valve body at work this morning and it's a real shame that I had to get some shots of the damage to send to the vendor we got it from. now I'm just waiting to here back from them.

I made sure to grumble about haveing to do it just enough so my boss doesn't realize that I would be happy as a lark to photo screwed up parts all day.

LOL, how sneaky of you.  Good picture too.

Looks like a lot of the parts I make... cool photo.  What happened to ruin the part, or cause it to be bad in the first place?  The burrs are horrid inside of the body.

We're still trying to figure out what happened. The pictures were sent over the the OEM's engineers a couple hours ago. The body is for a four way valve and we had material leaking by. We know why that happened now. The odd thing is that the ball in the center of the valve is almost perfect and shows no damage so we odon't know what happened. All four of the valve seats are damaged the same as the one still in the body here.

As you can see here there's just a small scar around the ports. Similar marks on all four of them.

It's parts of a valve that's used to switch fluids to different ports rather than just opening and closing a single port.
