She's 5, we think. She was an abused dog, has a crooked leg from it being broken and not taken care of, and was very hand-shy when I got her. Now, I could do anything to her, because I've earned her trust. She's my constant shadow.

Funny that I mentioned the couch thing she does. We came home from the store today and here's what we saw:

You do have a wireless remote for your D200. If you have an SB600 or SB800 you can set the camera to trigger them.
you can program three separate flash strengths

I shoot with two SB600s on light stands when I'm away from power. They're not studio lights but they work well.

Uh Bob, Shutter remote switch for the CAMERA, not the flashes. :=) D200 is wired shutter remote.

OH...

I've always just set the timer for 2 seconds when I needed to not touch the camera.

Yep, dito, but, for birds, the camera outside, you inside, Birds don't see you, not spooked, a wireless shutter, wham bam thank you mam.
