Winni

I spent this morning with a few of the residents at a local retirement home for my photo essay assignment. I'm not totally happy with what I came out with but I didn't have too much of an idea of what I wanted to accomplish (this whole thing was put together at the last minute).

I'll post a few others that I'm more happy with later, once I find time to sort and edit them.

Firequall, I love the middle image. One thing you may want to watch out for when doing portraits is your background. While the middle image is good, and the image of the sleeping man in the background helps establish location, a good portrait really focuses on the subject. Next time try changing your position, or even using a depth of field that blurs out the distractions behind her. I'm a sucker for images of the elderly. I love her concentration as she paints the rose. Smiley

On location shoot, we had one like it.
You did well, you showed an activity, it is well documented, I think in lines of the theme, I would have liked to have seen her preparing to paint IE, sorting the paints and brushes etc. instead of the worker.

IT IS good that you took no photographs of her getting meds.
