Women spend more time in Photoshop then men

A software package called wakoopa (got to love those Web 2.0 company names) allows users to download their tracking software and gather metrics on what programs they're using and for how long.  Privacy issues aside, they come up with some pretty interesting stats.  One of the stats is that women spend about twice as much time in Photoshop as men.  What I can't seem to find (the wakoopa site seems to be down right now) is whether that's "an average woman spends twice as much time as an average man" or "all women together spend twice as much time as all men together".  My guess is it's the first.  And it's not clear whether that means women are more artsy or just slower in Photoshop.  I'm guessing the first again.

And just for those interested in games, Tuesday is the game people tend to play more games although World of Warcraft is played more on Sundays than Tuesdays.

I would like to think we are more artsy, not slower.  But honestly that stat doesn't surprise me.  I am WAY more nit picky than my husband.  He gets after me for zooming in and fixing grass blades.  I spend too much time on things that don't matter.  I am getting better at that out of necessity though, I am too busy for so much fuss.

I'm with you Susie, I'm very meticulous when it comes to editing.

I would change the question so it doesn't sound so sexist. "How much time do you spend in photoshop?" survey style of question. :=)
I'm trying to get brownie points, is it working? hehehe

It wasn't actually a survey.  The site that put out the research has a program you download and it tracks what software you're using.  Sounds a little privacy invasive to me, but it looks like it's setup as some sort of community of who uses what programs.

And I'm pretty OCD in Photoshop so I spend a lot of time there too.
